NEW HAPPENINGS

Hello Everyone & A Happy New Year to You All.

We have all now returned from our vacations and are ready to face 2007 with great enthusiasm. And what a year it is going to be as we have lots of exciting events and happenings for you to share with us.

To start with, keep your eyes open for our new and improved website which will be unveiled very shortly. This will have lots more information and be updated much more frequently so please make sure to log on each week to keep you up to date with what is going on at your favorite bar and restaurant. We will also be introducing new menus in the very near future, all with very special covers which we know you will love.

As you can see, we are also introducing a new design for our newsletter, which will be similar in look and feel to the upcoming website.

VALENTINE'S DAY AT CHAPAROSA GRILL

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching so remember to make your reservations soon as we always fill up quickly. This year we have decided to run our regular menu at both locations but we will have some very romantic specials which we list below:

• Almond Crusted Warm Goat Cheese Salad with Raspberries & Mango - $9.50
• Salmon Served with a Creamy Crab Cognac Sauce on a Bed of Asparagus - $21.95
• Coconut Encrusted Opakapaka with South Western Chipotle Pineapple Sauce - $22.95
• Charbroiled Filet Mignon topped with pate and served in a port reduction - $28.95
• Linguine Pasta with a Shrimp, Vodka & Arugula Sauce - $19.95

OSCAR NIGHT

Another very exciting day in February is Oscar Night on Sunday February 25th and this year we would like you to celebrate in style with us. We are holding a very special party at Chaparosa in Plaza de la Paz starting at 4 p.m. with the Red Carpet arrivals on big screens throughout the restaurant with wine and champagne followed by a large selection of Passed hors d’Oeuvres during the ceremony. We even have our very own red carpet, paparazzi and awards! All for the amazing price of $37.50 to include wine, champagne and food. And please don’t forget to dress to impress!!

PHILANTHROPY

Now for more information about our promised philanthropic events which start on February 1st. Just as a reminder, here are the six charities we have chosen for the first year together with the dates we will be supporting them.

• February/March - Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
• April/May - Beta Foster Care
• June/July - Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research
• August/September - Assistance League of Saddleback Valley
• October/November - The Sumba Foundation
• December/January - Toby’s House, San Juan Capistrano

Firstly, when you dine with us, we will offer you the opportunity to make a donation of $10 to the charity of the moment. In return, we will offer you a 10% discount off your total dining check that day. We’re sure you will agree that this is a very generous offer and we hope that it will receive great support from you all. You may do this as many times as you like. We will also have a collection bottle on the bar at each restaurant which we hope will be filled time and time again during the 2 month period. In addition, we will be having special events during all these campaigns, some informational and educational and others purely fundraising. We will be sending out e-mails with further details, displaying posters and also including information on our brand new website so that ignorance will be no excuse!!

If you would be interested in joining a Chaparosa Team to participate in the Los Angeles Race for the Cure on the morning of Sunday February 25th, please let Alison know. We would very much like to field a large team of walkers, joggers and runners that day but cannot do so without your support.
